Notice of Regular Public Hearing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE JACKSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION OF ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW THE FOLLOWING AND OTHER BUSINESS:
Matthews Variance Request (2021103) – A request from Joe C. Matthews for approval of a variance from Section 74-97(c) of the Jackson County Code of Ordinances to allow a recreational vehicle as a dwelling unit at 6762 Lovedale Road in unincorporated Jackson County.
Jim Godwin dba Alford Powder LLC Variance Request (2021102) – A request from Jim Godwin for approval of a variance from Section 74-376(6) of the Jackson County Code of Ordinances to allow a trade business for online sales, inventory storage in an accessory structure, and shipping of merchandise to and from a residential lot located at 632 Kokomo Ave in unincorporated Jackson County.
Bar R Ranch Borrow Pit (GDO2021096)- Request is to open a new private borrow pit to extract clean dirt. The project area is 5 acres of an existing 145-acre parcel and will be located on the east side of Popular Springs Road approximately 1.3 miles south of the intersection of Poplar Springs Road and Blue Springs Road in unincorporated Jackson County. This request also includes a variance to Section 74-103(a)(4) to allow a borrow pit closer than 660 feet to a residential property.
The Public hearing will be held on April 5, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commission Meeting Room of the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida. The documents may be inspected at the Jackson County Community Development Department at 4979 Healthy Way, Suite B, Marianna, FL, 32446. Persons wishing to comment may do so via teleconference during the public hearing or in writing to the Jackson County Community Development Department.
