No-Cost Narcan and Education
Community Paramedicine provides no-cost naloxone, more commonly known as Narcan, to anyone in Jackson County. By equipping individuals with naloxone and training them to identify and respond to an opioid overdose, the delivery of life-saving care can potentially be reduced from hours to seconds.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), someone else was present in nearly 40% of overdose deaths. Having naloxone available allows bystanders to help with a fatal overdose and save lives. Our staff can provide education on opioid overdose prevention, and the safe handling and distribution of Narcan, at no cost.
