Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE JACKSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION OF ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW THE FOLLOWING AND OTHER BUSINESS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 91-6, WHICH ADOPTED THE JACKSON COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADOPTION OF A CERTAIN SMALL SCALE FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT TO THE JACKSON COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Whitehead Small Scale Amendment (2020420) – A request is to change the Future Land Use designation of one parcel totaling 2-acres from Agriculture 1 (AG1) to Agriculture 2 (AG2) located approximately one-fourth (1/4) mile south of Donald Road, on the west side of Hammond Road in unincorporated Jackson County.

The public hearing will be held January 4, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commission Meeting Room of the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida.  The documents may be inspected at the Jackson County Community Development Department at 4979-B Healthy Way, Marianna, FL, 32446. Persons wishing to comment may do so in person at the public hearing or in writing to the Jackson County Community Development Department.
