Notice of Public Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE JACKSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION OF ITS INTENT TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW THE FOLLOWING AND OTHER BUSINESS:

North Florida Rock, LLC Variance Request (2021480): A request from North Florida Rock, LLC for approval of a variance from Section 74-106(4)(d) Jackson County Code of Ordinances to allow heavy industrial activity as close as 500 feet from any potable water well.  The proposed variance request is for property located at 5160 Vermont Road in unincorporated Jackson County.

Dollar General (2021462): A request for a General Development Order for a 10,750 square foot building to be known as Dollar General and construction of 26,000 square foot vehicular use area and sidewalks.  The project will be located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Lakepoint Road and Hwy 231 in unincorporated Jackson County.

The public hearing will be held January 3, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of County Commission Meeting Room of the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida.  The documents may be inspected at the Jackson County Community Development Department at 4979-B Healthy Way, Marianna, FL, 32446. Persons wishing to comment may do so in person at the public hearing or in writing to the Jackson County Community Development Department.
