Vice Chairman - Commissioner, District 5
James Peacock represents the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, District 5. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of the board. Commissioner Peacock was elected in 2016 and is from Grand Ridge, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
Commissioner Peacock served for 27 years as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service. He has also worked in United States Customs and served in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant.
Commissioner Peacock serves as Chairman of the Chipola Crime Stoppers board. He is also a board member of the Republican Party of Jackson County and the Republican Party of Florida.
Commissioner Peacock is married and has two daughters.
